Applying Infection Control Basics in Congregate Care Settings

On Tuesday, January 6, 2021, Commonwealth Medicine, in coordination with the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), the Department of Public Health, and state agencies, offered an infection control webinar for program and state agency staff to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 in congregate care settings.

The webinar was led by a Certified Infection Control Preventionist and is intended for site/house managers and direct care staff, as well as individuals who can use webinar materials to provide additional infection control training and education to program staff and residents.

During the webinar, Commonwealth Medicine discussed the basics of infection control, including how and when to apply proper infection control practices in congregate care programs. The webinar was recorded and is posted below for viewing along with the PowerPoint reviewed in the presentation.
