Congregate Meals & Home-Delivered Meals

Meals are provided at congregate (onsite) meal centers and through home-delivered meals to senior citizens 60+ and people under 60 who live in certain senior housing buildings.

Supper and weekend meals are also available in some areas as well as special ethnic meals. We offer nutrition assessments and counseling to seniors who are at nutritional risk.

Home-Delivered Meals

Home delivered meals provide nutritious food to seniors who are unable to leave their homes due to illness, disability or frailty. The meal delivery provides a daily safety check for seniors. The program will check on high risk seniors during the event of a storm or emergency situation. In some areas we offer special therapeutic meals such as cardiac, renal, and pureed.

Congregate Meals

Congregate meals sites provide at least one meal per day at senior centers, churches, schools, and other locations. The congregate setting provides opportunities for socialization and companionship. It also offers nutrition education programs related to:

  • Health promotion
  • Disease prevention and management
  • Exercise

Transportation may be available for those who need it
