Welcome to the DMH Office of the Ombudsman. The DMH Ombudsman assists individuals and families that are having difficulty in obtaining services, navigating among service providers and service systems, or that are simply having difficulty resolving problems with DMH services. The Office of the Ombudsman is not a replacement for DMH’s Office of Investigations or other complaint resolution mechanisms, but rather acts on behalf of the Commissioner to help solve problems that are causing delays or disruption in services.
- If you are having a problem with DMH services or a service provider that you have not been able to resolve, you are encouraged to call or email the Office of the Ombudsman. We will respond to your call or email promptly and will try to assist you. Email the Ombudsman at DMHOmbudsman@MassMail.State.MA.US or call at (617) 626-4840.
- If you have a complaint about your DMH services and you believe your rights have been violated, you can file a complaint with the DMH Office of Investigations (download the complaint form) or call the Office of Investigations directly at (617) 626-8154.
- If you have general questions about DMH services, obtaining services or about a DMH service provider, please email or call DMH Info at firstname.lastname@example.org or (800) 221-0053
