MERL accepts samples submitted from:
- Regulatory activities performed by inspectors at the locations of the licensees of radioactive materials
- Emergency response activities where there has been an incident involving radiation
- Other state and local agencies
MERL's goal is to provide accurate and consistent analysis results to the various clients served by the laboratory.
MERL maintains its standard of excellence in analytical capability by participation with a variety of federal agencies in interlaboratory quality assurance activities.
