When can a guardianship change?

A guardianship can change for 2 reasons:

  • The court approves the guardian's request to resign.
  • The guardian is removed by the court.

  • The guardian dies.
  • The incapacitated person dies.
  • It's determined that the incapacitated person isn't incapacitated anymore.
