Massachusetts maple syrup is a natural native sweetener and a versatile ingredient that adds unique flavor enhancing qualities to many dishes. Once you appreciate the distinctive natural flavor of real Massachusetts maple syrup, you’ll find it hard to settle for anything else.

Visiting Massachusetts local “sugar shacks” is a great agri-tourism activity that the whole family can enjoy! Many sugarhouses in central and Western Massachusetts serve a delicious pancake breakfast, sell maple products such as maple syrup and maple candy, and offer sugarhouse open houses and tours.

More than 300 Massachusetts maple producers - most located west of Worcester – annually produce about 50,000 – 60,000 gallons of maple syrup, which is available and served at maple farms and area restaurants, bed-and-breakfasts, country inns, and other attractions in farm communities.

Plan your visit today! Go to the MassGrown & Fresher Agri-Google map for a listing of sugarhouses, restaurants, or visit the Massachusetts Maple Producers Association website for recipes and to learn more about how maple syrup is made!
