Security Features
Since the implementation of this new card design in the summer of 2016, the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) has issued more than 2 million cards (including licenses, identification cards and liquor IDs) with the new design.
Some features include, among others:
- Laser perforation
- Tactile features
- Ultraviolet ink
- Barcodes
With the increased number of cards in circulation, we ask that you please familiarize your establishment once again with the features of this card in the PDF below (see Additional Resources), provided by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
