The Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth

The Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth maintains comprehensive lists of community and government resources for LGBTQ youth.  The Commission also created a map of LGBTQ resources across the state that includes health care, education, employment, and other community organizations.

The Commission produces annual reports with recommendations about policies and program to support LGBTQ youth.  The Commission also works with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to produce the Safe Schools Program, which organizes the statewide network of school Gender and Sexuality Alliances (GSAs).

Mental Health Resource Guide for LGBTQ2IA+ Young People and Their Trusted Adults

The goal of the “Mental Health and Gender-Affirming Care Resource Guide for Massachusetts LGBTQ2IA+ Young People and Their Trusted Adults" is to centralize and organize existing mental health care resources that specialize in LGBTQ2IA+ care in order to increase accessibility to services and information.  The intended audiences of the Resource Guide are: 1) LGBTQ2IA+ young people and 2) their trusted adults and community members.  The Guide also seeks to acknowledge the important roles that intersectionality and social determinants of health play in mental health outcomes.
