Role of insurers in the DIA's document management system (DMS)

DMS is mandatory for all parties involved in a workers' compensation claim. Insurers will find out what they need to do to participate in DMS.

Filing forms

The DIA has an electronic "batch submission" system whereby insurers will be able to upload multiple form filings through a secure connection. The batch submissions eliminate the need to file paper forms with the DIA.

Conciliation

Claims adjusters who attend conciliations instead of an attorney, or because an attorney has not been assigned, will be told only to electronically submit new documents to the conciliator (nothing that has already been submitted).
