Special Commission on Access to Behavioral Health Services for Children and Families

The Special Commission on Access to Behavioral Health Services for Children and Families was established in 2025 with the enactment of the FY2026 Budget.

The Commission is responsible for studying and proposing recommendations to improve access to behavioral health services for children and families, including a detailed review of the common challenges that children, adolescents and families face in seeking behavioral health services. The Commission is chaired by Undersecretary for Health Amy Rosenthal, acting as the designee of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and is comprised of a diverse panel of behavioral and public health professionals, state legislators, and representatives from hospital and health care provider trade associations.
