The Telehealth Task Force was established in 2025 with the enactment of the FY2026 Budget.
The Task Force was responsible for studying and proposing recommendations to address barriers and impediments to the practice of telehealth across state lines. The Task Force was chaired by Assistant Secretary Joanne Marqusee, acting as the designee of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and was comprised of a diverse panel of public health professionals, representatives from community health centers, hospitals, and health care providers trade associations, and experts in health care administration and business regulation. The Task Force concluded its work with the submission of its report to the Legislature in June 2026.
