The OIG's Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) Program provides training in many areas to promote good government. Through the program you can become a MCPPO.

The OIG administers the MCPPO program to educate public purchasing officials to operate effectively and promote excellence in public procurement and to help private sector employees understand state and local bidding requirements. The program offers a variety of courses and seminars on public contracting and design and construction laws. If you meet certain requirements, you can apply for 1 of 6 possible MCPPO designations. The MCPPO designation is widely recognized by local jurisdictions in Massachusetts as indication that you are familiar with Massachusetts procurement practices.
