The Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) Program provides training for public purchasing officials to promote good government. Through the program you can earn an MCPPO certification.

The OIG administers the Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) program to educate public purchasing officials to operate effectively, promote excellence in public procurement and help private sector employees understand state and local bidding requirements. The program offers a variety of courses and seminars on public contracting and design and construction laws. If you meet certain requirements, you can apply for 1 of 6 possible MCPPO designations. Local jurisdictions in Massachusetts widely recognize the MCPPO designation as an indication that you are familiar with Massachusetts procurement practices.
