Female Narrator Voiceover: There are 18 centers across Massachusetts. The center offers programs to help you deal with addiction to drugs and alcohol and to help you learn how to improve your decision making. The center has an educational instructor, to help you prepare for the GED or HiSET, complete a college application, or pursue some other educational goal. The center also has a career counselor that can you help you find a job that can lead to a rewarding career.

The OCC also has a community service program, where you may be required to perform volunteer work to support a community need, like sorting dry goods at a food bank, landscaping at a local park, planting a tree at a library or courthouse, or even setting up barriers for the next championship parade.
These and other projects are designed to help you feel a sense of achievement for a job well done.

Vin Lorenti: My name is Vin Lorenti and I am the Director of Community Corrections for the Massachusetts Probation Service. The OCC is about making communities safer and stronger. We make communities stronger by impacting people's lives in responsible, positive ways by giving them the treatment to beat addiction and master skills to make better decisions. We do this so that they can thrive in their community and make it stronger. I know that at times it is difficult, but if you work with your PO, and the center, you too can succeed.
