What: Effective immediately and continuing through Thursday, June 18, 2026, the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will close swimming at Breakheart Reservation in the Town of Saugus to accommodate water treatment for invasive aquatic vegetation. Swimming will reopen beginning on June 18. However, swimmers and dog owners are advised the water will be unsafe to ingest until June 21.
