What: The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) has reopened Flax Pond at Nickerson State Park in the Town of Brewster. These areas have had clear tests from both the cyanobacteria bloom and routine weekly bacterial water quality testing.
However, a cyanobacteria bloom is still present at Cliff Pond. This area will be retested once conditions visibly improve to determine whether cyanobacteria levels have fallen within acceptable limits per Department of Public Health (DPH) guidelines.
