The exhibits in the Visitors Center, a restored 1840s boarding house, tell the stories of Lawrence's mill workers, including their role in the 1912 Bread and Roses Strike. You can also learn about the immigrant populations who settled in Lawrence, and test your skills by planning your own industrial city. Visitors can also walk the esplanade alongside the Merrimac River.
