Chelmsford- Lowell Bridge Bundle Replacement

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is fully replacing two bridges over I-495 in Chelmsford starting in April 2025.

The Chelmsford- Lowell Bridge Bundle Replacement will replace the two existing structurally deficient bridges with new, durable bridges designed and constructed for a minimum 75-year service life. This project will extend along Westford Street between Alexandria Way and Dalton Road, and along Gorham Street between River neck Road and the Chelmsford- Lowell town line.
