Child Abuse and Neglect

If you know or suspect that a child is being abused or neglected, please report it immediately. Anyone can file a report of abuse or neglect.

The Department of Children and Families (DCF) is committed to protecting children. The Department looks into allegations of abuse and neglect reported by professionals and the public. When a case is opened, DCF connects families with services in the community and works with them to make sure children can grow and thrive in a safe, stable home.
