Veterans Service Officers (VSOs) are veterans in cities and towns across Massachusetts. Your VSO delivers essential services to eligible veterans and their dependents.

The Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military & veteran families can stay free of charge while a loved one is in the hospital. These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world. The Foundation also operates the Hero Miles program, using donated frequent flyer miles to bring family members to the bedside of injured service members & the Hotels for Heroes program. For eligible Veterans living or traveling abroad, the VA offers medical services through the Foreign Medical Program (FMP). FMP will pay for health care services, medications, & durable medical equipment for service-connected conditions & conditions associated with and held to be aggravating a service-connected condition. The Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship is for children & spouses of certain Veterans. Children & spouses may qualify if: - a parent/spouse died in the line of duty on or after 9/11/2001 while serving in the Armed Forces; - he/she was a member of the Selected Reserve who died from a service-connected disability. The VA’s Gulf War Registry Health Exam alerts Veterans to possible long-term health problems that may be related to environmental exposures during their military service. The registry data helps VA understand and respond to these health problems more effectively.
