DCR Strategic Readiness Initiative

Building from the recommendations in the DCR Special Commission report, this effort will be foundational to strengthen the organization and create a springboard for driving improvements and progress well into the future.

This summer the DCR will begin its 20th year since being established in 2003. Over the last two decades, DCR has stewarded the state’s expansive range of natural and cultural resources and has provided residents of the Commonwealth with vital opportunities for recreation, all while connecting with nature. As the agency approaches this milestone, it is appropriate to reflect on the past and look toward the future. What do the next twenty years look like?
