Overview   of 2024 Walk for Independence

Join The Carroll Center for the Blind on Saturday, June 1, 2024, for the Walk for Independence. This is a celebration you don’t want to miss!

The Walk for Independence unites the Carroll Center community to connect, share resources, and raise money to support the Carroll Center’s mission so future generations of blind and visually impaired clients receive the services they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.

Attendees will connect with family, friends, and the greater Carroll Center community through a 1, 2, or 3-mile walk around the Mt. Ida campus, free barbeque, fun activities for kids and adults, and an interactive resource fair where you can engage with Carroll Center alumni, families, staff, and other vision professionals.

Participating is easy! Visit the Walk for Independence website to register for FREE! Register as an Individual or start/join a Team and leverage your personal network to help us fundraise.

Can’t join us on June 1? There are still ways you can support the Walk:

  • Register as a Virtual Walker and walk in your community with family and friends at a date and time convenient for you.
  • Make a donation to support the event! You may contribute to a Team, an Individual Walker, or to the event in general.

Please contact development@carroll.org or (617) 969-6200 x237 if you need assistance registering.
