Overview
MDAR is hosting a webinar to share more about the 2025 Progress Report and Farmland Partnership Program Grants that were announced in December 2025, with a short time for Q&A.
The 2025 Progress Report celebrates what has been done to implement the Farmland Action Plan in the last year. Highlights include building the capacity of organizations to protect farmland, protecting whole farms and expanding farmland transfer technical assistance. Progress stories within the report share advances made within a wide variety of MDAR programs including the Agricultural Preservation Restrictions (APRs), Private APRs, Farm Pass (farm transfer planning), state farmland licensing, municipal Agricultural Commission support, and many others.
In the coming year, with the new projects being implemented by partners through the Farmland Partnership Program, implementation is expected to expand significantly. MDAR awarded $1.9 million in Farmland Partnership Program Grants to seven groups of organizations that seem to implement 29 projects that align with tasks of the MFAP.
This webinar is oriented towards all partners, potential partners and people who are interested in the implementation of the MFAP.
