Public Meeting Notice Arborway Parkways Improvement Project 11/21/2019
Overview of Arborway Parkways Improvement Project 11/21/2019
Seeking to improve safety along the Arborway for all user groups, the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) has completed a Road Safety Audit (RSA) of the parkway from South Street to Eliot Street in the City of Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood. Contained within the report, which can be viewed from DCR’s project webpage at https://www.mass.gov/info-details/arborway-parkways-improvement-project , are both short-term and long-term improvement recommendations.
At this public meeting, DCR will provide information on the RSA; review short-term improvements that will be or have been made by the agency along the parkway; and, outline the planned design process for long-term parkway reconfiguration and improvements.
The presentation made will be viewable after the public meeting on DCR’s website at www.mass.gov/dcr/past-public-meetings. The public will be invited to submit comments on the planned short-term improvements and design process at and after the meeting, with a deadline for receipt by DCR of Friday, December 6, 2019. Comments may be submitted online at www.mass.gov/dcr/public-comment or by writing to the Department of Conservation and Recreation, Office of Public Outreach, 251 Causeway Street, 6th Floor, Boston, MA 02114. Please note that public comments submitted to DCR may be posted on the DCR website in their entirety, and no information, including personal information, will be redacted
