Overview

Sharpen your braille skills and prepare for the Braille Challenge by joining The Carroll Center for the Blind for the in-person Braille Brush-Up Day on January 11, 2025!

Come spend the day practicing Unified English Braille with other braille learners while improving your skills in braille reading & writing, spelling, proofreading, tactile graphics and speed brailling instruction in Book Port Plus and/or Victor Reader Stream. Enjoy some games and social time with other students who have visual impairments.

This day is perfect for honing your skills in preparation for the Braille Challenge, a national competition for school-age children who read and write braille. More than 1,000 braille readers participate in this nationwide competition, promoting the importance of braille literacy through 51 regionals across North America.
