- Opening Remarks
- Introductions
- Agenda items:
- Review minutes from the BSEE & BFPR Work Group Meeting on January 22, 2025
- Discuss items below with the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA)
- Continue discussing the items below for the purpose of creating more comprehensive guidance that clearly outlines the rules associated with permitting and inspections.
- Some cities and towns refuse to accept paper permit applications in person or by mail
- Online applications do not match the "Uniform Permit Application" revised 1/2023. There is often no place to enter the A1 license information when using online portals. Sometimes, the portal requires you to "search" for a license number, which then "pulls" licensee information into the permit application. The A1 license details are unavailable in several cities and towns as part of the search function.
- Once issued, the majority of permits do not match the State form.
- Permits are being issued to the Master Electrician of record instead of the A1 License holder
- Some cities and towns do not issue formal permits
- Once an inspection occurs, no formal notice of pass or fail is issued.
- Items not anticipated.
