Overview
This 1.5-hour training provides an overview of the CCS Transition Services model, including student recruitment, referral and enrollment processes, service delivery expectations, reporting requirements, program parameters, and payment structures. This training is intended for provider program staff as well as management.
Agenda
Training topics and objectives include:
- Student Outreach and Recruitment – Strategies for recruiting students with disabilities into CCS Transition Services.
- Referrals – Direct referrals from MassAbility counselors and the online student application process.
- Student Enrollment – Verification of disability, guardian consent, and submission of Potentially Eligible (PE) students into the MassAbility PE Portal.
- Curriculum Expectations – Ensuring statewide consistency through approved curriculum.
- Career Camps – Service model, reporting requirements, and performance measures.
- Work-Based Learning – Employer partnerships, payroll requirements, work permits, site expectations, reporting requirements, and performance measures.
- Transition Service Single Sessions – In-person and virtual service delivery, public scheduling expectations, reporting requirements, and performance measures.
- Transportation Services – Requirements and reporting for Career Camps and Single Sessions.
- Language Services – Authorization procedures, invoicing process, and reporting requirements.
