Community session: Collaborating with stakeholders on plain language

Writing in government is a collaborative process. Writers often work with lawyers, policy experts, program staff, and other stakeholders to make sure the information we share is accurate and useful for the people we serve.

Working together to meet both of those goals isn’t always easy. Different stakeholders have different expertise, priorities, and requirements.

In this session, members of this community will share how they work with stakeholders to communicate both accurately and in a way that works for constituents. Presenters from the RMV, MassHealth, and the MassHire Department of Career Services will share their experiences and approaches. Feel free to bring a stakeholder you work with!
