Congamond Lake, Southwick: The Department of Fish and Game's Office of Fishing and Boating Access recently completed the reconstruction of the boat ramp and installation of boarding floats at its Congamond Lake boating access facility located on Berkshire Avenue in Southwick. Construction was performed by BTT Marine Construction Company, LLC of Boston, with a construction cost of $319,000. The Berkshire Avenue boating access facility is one of two FBA boating access facilities on Congamond Lake. The other location is approximately one mile to the north off Grove Road. Both facilities are managed by the Town of Southwick Congamond Lake Lake Management Committee through a Land Management Agreement with FBA. Congamond Lake consists of three interconnected water bodies totaling approximately 475 acres. This facility provides parking for 18 vehicles with trailers. Congamond Lake is known for its trout and largemouth bass fishing and recreational boating opportunities. If you are unable to make it to this event you can use FBA's Fishing and Boating Access Viewer to find a boat ramp or fishing pier near you.
