Division of Insurance Information Sessions on Carrier Processes to Credential and Enroll Providers

During information sessions held earlier this year, certain providers raised concerns about carriers’ credentialing processes, including requirements to send in duplicate information and lengthy credentialing processes.

The Division contacted insurance carriers and asked that they participate in meetings to explain their credentialing and contracting processes.  The Division is scheduling public sessions on the following dates to discuss credentialling:

Thursday, May 21 from 1-2 and 6-7       Carriers present their credentialing and contracting processes

Thursday, June 4 from 1-2 and 6-7         Providers react to credentialing and contracting processes

Thursday, June 18 from 1-2 and 6-7       Consider options that might streamline processes
