Division of Insurance Information Sessions on Carrier Provider Relations Systems

Overview

Rain date: Daytime and evening sessions have been scheduled.

During a series of information sessions held by the Division of Insurance in January and February 2026, certain providers raised concerns about reaching carriers’ provider relations departments or using carriers’ tools to get questions answered about administrative processes, resulting in extended hold times and inability to deliver patient care.

The Division contacted insurance carriers and obtained information from the carriers about the ways that providers can contact carriers for questions.  It is the Division’s intention to hold a series of virtual public meetings held on the following dates to discuss the available communication channels and any concerns about why these channels may not satisfactorily meet provider needs.
