3. Fiscal federal and state updates
4. Ongoing Business:                                 

• Fiscal training discussion
• Establish fiscal monitoring procedures to support fiscal audit:
  • Review federal audit Requirements
  • Prioritize Requirements by reviewing these outstanding questions/tasks from reviewing the list below:
    • MA Internal Control Policy
    • Risk Assessment Tool (Recommended SC assist in the creation of one; do we have a sample somewhere in DPH?)
    • Assist in the policies and procedures on maintaining fiscal records
    • System for monitoring funds for Part C
    • How are the expenditure reports being worked on to be able to comply with quarterly reports to legislature?
    • What is the status of Ask Away sessions? Is it helpful to the providers and/or the Division? 
    • Ideas discussed at past meetings were to a) Create a fiscal 101 for EI program directors b) Training on demand for fiscal depts c) Digital library
    • What is the status of fiscal monitoring in general with respect to SDR’s and is there a transition to another method?
    • Policies and procedures reflecting the Divisions standards for correcting fiscal noncompliance
    • Review Part C application budget for 2025 during prep stage (Jan—April 2025)
    • What is the status of reviewing the appeal process for denied claims?
    • Is there an inventory of assets purchased using IDEA Part C funds consistent with state policies and procedures? (Page 5 of Single Line of Responsibility)
