      1. 527 CMR 12.00, Rule 1, 2, 8, 10 submitted by Shawn Wills received October 29, 2025.

        Question #1: Is a person for hire that installs electrical conduit, wires, and devices used for light, heat, power, signaling and communications in structures required to notify the Inspector of Wires in the jurisdiction where the installation occurs?

        Question #2: Is a person for hire that installs electrical conduit, wires, and devices used for light, heat, power, signaling and communications in structures owned by a municipality required to notify the Inspector of Wires in the jurisdiction where the installation occurs?

        Question #3: In the above questions, are inspections required to be requested, and performed, to determine compliance of the installation?

      2. 527 CMR 12.00, 210.63A / Rule 8 submitted by Justin Huber received November 10, 2025.

        Does a GFCI protected outlet directly inside a residential garage or dwelling within 25' and on the same level as a heat pump/ac condenser satisfy 210.62a?

        Rule 8 (Notification of completion) Is the electrician required to be on site for electrical inspections?

        Rule 8 Is the electrician required to facilitate the scheduling of the inspection time and date between the property owner and the electrical inspector or building dept.?

      3. 527 CMR 12.00, 240.24, 480.7, 706.15 submitted by Kevin Ledoux received November 18, 2025.

        Question #1: Can circuit breakers and fused switches intended for overcurrent protection and disconnection of horizontally-cabled DC battery module strings to be accessed by portable ladder and installed at heights greater than 2.0 m (6 ft. 7 in.) above the floor, given that the utilization equipment they supply is installed above that height? See Figure 1.

        Question #2: Can circuit breakers and fused switches intended for overcurrent protection and disconnection of vertically-cabled DC battery module strings to be accessed by portable ladder and installed at heights greater than 2.0 m (6 ft. 7 in.) above the floor, given that the utilization equipment they supply is installed above that height?       4. 527 CMR 12.00, 230.85(C) submitted by Jon Moreau received November 28, 2025.

        In the state of Massachusetts, when replacing only an electrical panel, for any reason, is it required to bring the electrical service up to the current national electrical code / Massachusetts 527 CMR 12.00, as far as installing an emergency disconnect?

      5. 527 CMR 12.00 submitted by Arthur Pedini Jr. received December 3, 2025.

        In residential or commercial installations, does the code allow any electrical panel to be placed behind a door or is this a violation?

      6. NEC Article 702.4(A)(2) & 706 ESS submitted by Paul Raposo received on November 17, 2025.

        Does the section in NEC article 702.4.4(A)(2) Automatic Load Connection apply to NEC Article 706 - Energy Storage Systems (ESS) when the ESS system is being installed as an optional Standby System?
