This is a family friendly hike being offered during school vacation week.
We will meet and begin the hike at the Bald Mtn. Hill Trail trailhead. Attendees should enter Quabbin Park via the middle gate entrance located on Rt. 9 in Ware (see link to map below; Bald Mountain Trail shown as orange dots and middle gate park entrance identified as Gate 54). The trailhead is up the hill, just past the rotary, on the left.
The hike will feature two scenic views of the surrounding landscape at the top of Bald Mtn. Hill and the Enfield Lookout. We will be walking 1.8 miles on a mix of forest roads and foot paths with little elevation gain (100 ft.). Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring water.
