Learn about archiving documents from State Library and State Archives staff
Overview
Managing documents is critical to keeping content clear, current, and constituent-friendly! The Title II digital accessibility deadline next spring means many state employees are working hard to update documents (or convert them to webpages) and clear out old ones. And since Mass.gov is not intended to be an archive, it's a great moment to hear from the archiving experts.
Join us to learn from Massachusetts State Library and the State Archives staff as they answer questions like:
- What are state organizations' obligations around archiving documents?
- What kinds of documents does the State Library take (and not take)?
- What kinds of documents do the State Archives take (and not take)?
- How do you submit documents to both places?
- What are the accessibility requirements for archived documents?
Content Lab is a community of practice focused on content strategy. It's open to employees at state agencies and organizations.
