Public Meeting Notice  Lowe’s Pond Dam (Oxford, MA) Public Meeting 9/19/2024

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (MassDCR) Office of Dam Safety (ODS) and Town of Oxford have partnered to design and permit repairs to the Lowe’s Pond Dam (MA00804) on Huguenot Road in the Town of Oxford.  The repairs are needed in order to bring the dam into compliance with the Massachusetts Dam Safety regulations (302 CMR 10.00).  As part of the dam repairs, recreational improvements will also be incorporated into the site, as designed in coordination with input from the Town of Oxford. The final dam and site design will be presented at this pubic meeting, along with information regarding the upcoming construction schedule.

After the meeting, the presentation will be available for viewing  on DCR’s Past events for DCR Public Meetings Information web page.  DCR encourages the public to share additional feedback, with a deadline for receipt of comments by DCR of October 1^st, 2024. Comments may be submitted via the DCR public comment portal. Please note that the content of comments you submit to DCR, along with your name, town, and zip code, will be posted on DCR's website. Additional contact information required when commenting, notably email address, will only be used for outreach on future updates on the subject project or property.
