On Saturday, June 14th, Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries invites the public to Marine Quest, a free, fun, educational outdoor event for children and families at the Cat Cove Marine Laboratory in Salem. This event will highlight local efforts to conserve our oceans and preserve sustainable fisheries for future generations.
During the festival, the public will have the opportunity to:
- Explore exhibits on cutting-edge marine research in Massachusetts,
- Learn about local marine life and visit touch tanks with live animals,
- Dive into our commercial fisheries and sample local, sustainable seafood,
- Take part in learn-to-fish-clinics, short science lectures, games and activities, and more.
Parking
Free public parking is available along Fort Ave in front of the Cat Cove Marine Laboratory grounds. There is also an additional free public parking lot across the street from our main entrance.
