MFA Descriptive Tour on Zoom

For the October descriptive tour, the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) will explore the exhibition Georgia O’Keeffe and Henry Moore. American Georgia O’Keeffe and her British counterpart Henry Moore were prominent 20th century artists who channeled their love for natural forms, such as animal bones, seashells, oddly shaped stones, and floral details into beautiful and beguiling abstract paintings and massive sculptures between the 1930s and 1980s. This exhibit brings these modern artists into conversation with each other and us. The show includes over 150 objects and detailed re-creations of both artists’ studios filled with objects collected in the New Mexico desert and the British coast and the artworks inspired by these everyday treasures. Join the MFA in exploring and discussing some of these objects.
