MFA In-Person Descriptive Tours for Hear Me Now Exhibition
Overview
The Museum of Fine Arts is pleased to offer two in-person tours for the Hear Me Now exhibition.
Hear Me Now focuses on the work of Black potters in the 19th-century American South. The exhibition presents ceramic objects from Old Edgefield District, South Carolina, a center of stoneware production in the decades before the Civil War. Learn about the enslaved potter and poet David Drake and discuss his monumental storage jars, inscribed with verse. After touring the exhibition, several pots will be available to explore tactilely.
The tour options are:

Thursday, June 22nd at 6 P.M.
