Overview of New Bedford Route 18 Corridor Study Public Meeting
The study will identify improvements to address access, connectivity, and mobility challenges faced by all users of the corridor, including pedestrians, bicycles, transit, and motorists. It will consider access to the new South Coast Rail Station and waterfront, and economic development opportunities.
This is the third phase of the Route 18 redesign. Phase One from Walnut Street to Elm Street was completed in 2012 and Phase 2 from Cove Street to Walnut Street was completed in 2019.
The first public meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, February 4 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
