Overview

Join the Universal Access Program for accessible small group hiking at historic Walden Pond in Concord! During this program, run by our partner Waypoint Adventure, you’ll meet at the visitor’s center, hike in the woods next to the pond, and stop along the way for a picnic lunch and natural interpretation from Walden Pond park staff.
You’ll benefit from our selection of adaptive equipment, receive instruction to meet any learning style, and be encouraged to reach your individual goals.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Registration ends November 4, 2025.
Day and Time: Thursday, November 6, 2025; 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

- Small back pack or bag to carry your things
- Clothes comfortable for hiking
- Lunch or snacks
- Water bottle
- Sun protection (hat, glasses, lotion)

- Lace-up sneakers or hiking boots
- *Waypoint Adventure can provide hats, gloves, warm socks, boots, and extra layers for you to borrow. If you think you may need to borrow something, please let them know in advance!
