Overview

State employees who write, review, or publish information have a chance to make plain language a priority. Plain language is an important piece of the larger effort to make information (in whatever form) accessible to the people of Massachusetts.

Maybe you

  • Post content on Mass.gov that someone else wrote

  • Draft communications, reports, or policy documents

  • Review written documents for accuracy or compliance

No matter what your job is, this session can help you improve what you write. Please share it with others in your organization who might be interested.

We will talk about the plain language review process: 5 questions that help you look at a piece of writing and identify barriers for the people reading it. (*This is a new version of a previous Content Lab session.)

Content Lab is a community of practice focused on content strategy. It's open to employees at state agencies and organizations.
