Overview of Public Hearing for Liberty Utilities Forecast & Supply Plan (DPU 24-154)
The Department is conducting an online public hearing on the Petition of Liberty Utilities (New England Natural Gas Company) for review and approval of its five-year Forecast and Supply Plan for its Fall River and North Attleboro Service Area, and its Blackstone Service Area for the forecast period 2024/2025 through 2028/2029.
Pursuant to General Laws Chapter 164, Section 69I, the Department must ensure a necessary energy supply for the Commonwealth at the lowest possible cost. Accordingly, the Department will review the company's petition to ensure the forecast accurately projects the gas sendout requirements of the utility's market area. This purpose of the public hearing is to allow any interested persons to be heard on the company's petition.
The public hearing scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on January 13, 2025, will be held virtually. Attendees can join by entering using the Zoom link from a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
