Public Hearing Notice  Public Hearing for Municipal Aggregation Plans (DPU 25-62 through 25-65)

Overview

The Department is conducting a virtual public hearing to receive comments on the municipal aggregation plans of Manchester-by-the-Sea, Rockport, Shutesbury, and Leyden. The municipal aggregation programs would each allow the respective town to obtain electric supply for consumers who do not opt out within its municipal borders.

The public hearing will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. For audio-only access to the hearings, attendees can dial-in at 301-715-8592 (not toll free) and then enter the Meeting ID# 857 0177 9368. If you anticipate providing comments over Zoom, please send an email by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, with your name, email, and mailing address. Please see the Notices below for more information. Translation and/or interpretation is available upon request. To request translation and/or interpretation in a language other than English, please contact Kaylee Burgess at dpu.ej@mass.gov by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.

Any person interested in commenting on this matter may submit written comments no later than the close of business (5:00 p.m.) on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Please note that in the interest of transparency any comments will be posted to our website as received and without redacting personal information, such as addresses, telephone numbers, or email addresses. As such, consider the extent of information you wish to share when submitting comments. The Department strongly encourages public comments to be submitted by email. If, however, a member of the public is unable to send written comments by email, a paper copy may be sent to Mark D.
