Overview of Public Involvement Plan In-Person Listening Session
The Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) and the Department of Public Utilities (DPU) are seeking input on their Public Involvement Plans (PIPs) that serve as guides, respectively, for EEA and DPU public involvement processes.
The PIPs assist staff, project proponents, and petitioners in conducting effective and meaningful public involvement and community engagement. EEA and DPU are committed to ensuring the public can equitably access its services, activities, and programs and participate meaningfully in its decision-making processes. The PIPs are designed to foster meaningful and ongoing public participation in decision-making processes while ensuring decisions reflect the voice of communities.
Interpretation services will be provided in Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, and Cape Verdean Creole. If you require interpretation in an additional language, please submit your request to ej.inquiries@mass.gov.

EEA and DPU are also seeking written comments no later than November 4, 2024 to help shape the final PIPs.
