Overview of Quabbin’s Keystone Bridge
This is a remote presentation offered by the Quabbin Visitor Center.
Built in 1866, the stone bridge across the Middle branch of the Swift River at Quabbin’s Gate 30 is a well-loved local landmark. Join us to learn more about the history and construction of this beautiful structure as well possible plans for its future. This presentation will be led by Michael Weitzner, consultant and dry stone waller. Mr. Weitzner holds a Master Craftsman certificate issued by the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain.
