Overview

This all-day, in-person program, which runs from 7:30 am to 2:45 pm on Monday, November 3rd at the Four Points by Sheraton on Route One in Norwood, includes 10 hour-long, RIMCLE-accredited* breakout sessions, followed by a plenary meeting and luncheon, where the Hon. R. Marc Kantrowitz (ret.), the most highly published lawyer on Massachusetts state law, will give the keynote address.

At the Conference luncheon, Richard P. Howe Jr., former Middlesex County Register of Deeds, will be presented with the REBA Richard B. Johnson Award, the Association’s highest honor, and long-time REBA Board member Henry J. Dane, a Partner at Dane, Brady & Haydon, LLP, will be presented with the Denis Maguire Award for Community Service.

In addition, Hon. Diane R. Rubin will be presenting with retired Hon. Howard P. Speicher on Zoom Etiquette: From Boardrooms to Courtrooms to Town Hall. The panelists will offer guidance on advocating effectively while appearing remotely, and maximizing videoconferencing tools, and avoiding common pitfalls. Join Judges Rubin and Speicher, as they share with us entertaining and instructional anecdotes, drawn from
their Zoom experience on both the bench, and in mediation and arbitration. Registrants will gain a better understanding of proper lighting, audio and background, as well as appropriate etiquette, attire and decorum.
