Research shareout: Participant recruitment
Overview
Recruiting the right participants is an important part of experience research. The people you include in your study influence what you learn and the decisions you make. A thoughtful recruitment process helps you gather feedback that reflects the needs of the people you serve.
This session explores the participant recruitment process, including how to define your target audience, find potential participants, screen for the right fit, and prepare for research sessions. Participants will discuss common challenges, share recruitment approaches, and explore ways to reduce bias throughout the process.
If you’d like access to the session materials, please contact cxcoe@mass.gov.
The Experience Research (XR) Community of Practice brings together experience researchers and anyone who conducts or supports research to learn, share, and connect. It focuses on constituent-centered research and is open to employees of state organizations.
