Meet at Goodnough Dike Parking Lot
What is an "Oak Woodland"? How is it different from other woods with oaks in them? What was the purpose of cutting other species of trees around the Goodnough Dike? And how is fire involved? If you're curious for the answers to these questions, join us for an educational forestry walk on how DWSP is using silviculture and prescribed fire to restore fire dependent communities to achieve our diversity goals on the landscape.
Hike begins at the Goodnough Dike Parking Lot.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring water.
