Teaching Tuesday: Household Organization & Labeling
Overview of Teaching Tuesday: Household Organization & Labeling
Join the MCB Vision Rehabilitation Teaching (VRT) team for virtual instruction on household organization and labeling for individuals who are blind and visually impaired.
Presented by Douglas Hamilton, MCB intern and student in the UMass Boston’s Vision Studies MEd program. Douglas grew up in East Boston and graduated from UMass Boston, majoring in psychology with a minor in music. Douglas's interests include playing the piano and guitar, as well as nature photography.
“I have always loved working with others and helping people to strengthen their talents," said Douglas. "I find the most joy in helping others to achieve their goals and overcome any obstacles they face.”
Douglas said that "organizational skills are a key component for making the completion of everyday tasks easy and efficient."
During this virtual event, Douglas will discuss various ways to organize clothes, closets, and drawers, as well as how to maximize storage space. The event will focus on different organizational systems, and participants will have the opportunity to discuss what organizational skills have helped them the most.
