Public Meeting Notice  Wachusett Reservoir Watershed Public Access Plan 4/26/2023

At this public meeting, the DCR Division of Water Supply Protection team for this project will provide an overview of the draft Wachusett Reservoir Watershed Public Access Management Plan, answer specific questions related to the plan, and take public comments on the Plan.

The purpose of the Wachusett Reservoir Watershed Public Access Management Plan update is to review and update existing policies based on sound science to provide passive recreation and public access that is protective of water quality management goals on DCR and Division of Water Supply Protection lands in the Wachusett Reservoir Watershed. A draft of the Plan for review will be posted at https://www.mass.gov/info-details/dcr-watershed-plans#plan-update-in-process---wachusett-reservoir-access-plan- by April 20.

The public will be invited to ask questions and provide feedback on the presentation. After the meeting, the slide deck will be available for viewing at https://www.mass.gov/dcr/past-public-meetings. DCR encourages the public to share additional feedback, with a deadline for receipt of comments to DCR by May 26, 2023. Comments may be submitted online at http://www.mass.gov/dcr/public-comment. Please note that the content of comments you submit to DCR, along with your name, town, and zip code, will be posted on DCR’s website. Additional contact information required when commenting, notably email address will only be used for outreach on future updates on the subject project or property.
